Frequently Asked Questions about Refinery

Q:  How old do you have to be to join Refinery?

A:  You must be 18 years old to join without parental consent.  Ages 14 - 17 may join with a parent's signature.  Ages 12 - 14 may join with an adult and must be accompanied by them in the facility at all times.

Q:  How much does it cost to take Group Fitness Classes?

A:  Group Fitness classes are all included in every membership at no additional cost.  We offer at least 50 group fitness classes each week at varied times beginning at 5:30 am with the last class being offered at 8:30 pm.  Group Fitness is proven to be one of the best ways to stay committed to a fitness routine which is why we include classes in our membership and encourage all members to participate.  We do not sell Group Fitness punch cards.

Q:  Why does Refinery cost more than other gyms in town?

A:  At Refinery we believe that the cost of something has a direct correlation to the value you receive.  Think of it this way - you can buy a car that has a steering wheel, doors, and wheels and no extras or you can buy a car that has keyless entry, heated seats, a gps system, bose stereo speakers and more.  Both cars will get you from here to there but the latter will certainly make the ride more enjoyable.  Fitness is a journey and Refinery makes the journey more enjoyable, easier to stick to, and more luxurious all the way!  One look around Refinery and it's easy to see that it's a wise investment.  And all our memberships cost less than $2 a day!

Q:  What if I am new to fitness and don't know where or how to start?

A:  No problem!  Refinery is a community full of members at varied levels of fitness and experience.  Our staff and members alike are happy to help out in any way we can so that you feel comfortable and get the most out of your membership!  Upon joining you will receive all the information you need to get started including free equipment orientations, a free personal training consultation and much more!

Q:  Do you ever waive the enrollment fee?

A:  Sure, our "first class enrollment" of $199 is used as a deposit on personal training and waives the standard enrollment fee.  Yes, this is a higher price than the standard enrollment fee itself but in return you are provided with a tangible service that benefits you directly.

Outside of a downpayment in PT we do not waive the enrollment fee to join Refinery.  Not only does the enrollment fee help to ensure that we are able to stay in business and provide you with high quality services, it also increases the likelihood that you will have success with your membership.  Research proves that people are much more likely to use and stay committed to something they feel they have made an investment in.
